Some people hate...

A lot of people hate on New Yorkers, or those that choose to live in the big city of dreams. I think its jealousy for the simple fact the world is on every street corner here in New York City. Dreams are up the block, and the magic of that reality fills the air day and night. If you want it bad enough, you really can get it here. And with this fact in mind, nobody likes the kid living the charmed life. He's too lucky and its just too easy for him. They call it the "crabs in the bucket" effect. Each crab wanting to make it out as badly as the next; and seemingly just as one nears the top, another pulls it down. I admit I've been that beady-eyed red hue of an envying crab on a few occasions. Everyone has at some point. I believe it is human nature to want and desire the most success or achievement for yourself in every aspect of your life. Ownership of your destiny and spoiled by constant triumph. You long for it because you feel your worth and sense of pride deserves it as much as the next man. But what I've come to realize is your journey is custom made and built for you in a special way. You have to make light and harness that unique quality; whatever it is, and cherish it as much as possible to be a shining reflection back into the world. Part of your success, and equally the reason why people find themselves wanting, is finding yourself. I am conscious and ever working at knowing myself as best as i possibly can, doing me. The happy crab with the unclenched claw.
